Semen Retention Makes You Feel High

Retaining my seed always makes me feel slightly high or sedated. It is not the kind of high or sedation that makes me sleepy or weak. Instead, it feels like my mind has become calm and quiet.

This feeling usually makes me happy for no reason. Nothing special has to happen for me to feel joyful: I just wake up feeling good.

It is also accompanied by a strong sense of inner peace. My thoughts slow down, and my mind relaxes. Because of this, it becomes very difficult to experience anxiety or unnecessary stress.

Through this experience, I confirmed that semen retention is highly connected to present-moment awareness, as it ensures that the mind easily settles in the now instead of being trapped in regrets about the past or fears about the future.

I cannot accurately describe this experience because words seem too limited. The best description I can give is that it resembles the high one experiences after taking a few puffs of weed.

To make this feeling intense, I embraced a deep breathing practice that began by taking a slow, deep breath while visualizing sexual energy rising from my root chakra to the top of my head. As I breathed out, I imagined a bright white light shining between my eyes. I always repeated this breathing and visualization for ten minutes until my mind became quiet and my whole body felt relaxed.

I became obsessed with this practice because it prevented the high feeling from fading. Whenever I practiced it, the high and present-moment awareness stayed with me throughout the day.

I later searched the internet to learn more about this feeling because I wanted to know whether other retainers experienced it and why it occurred. As I expected, I found many personal accounts from people who had retained for long periods describing a similar high feeling.

Moreover, I came across claims that this feeling is connected to the antidepressants found in semen. I later found that these claims were supported by research studies that have discovered that women who have unprotected sex feel better and have lower depression scores than those who have protected sex.

One of the studies I came across was conducted by Gordon Gallup, Rebecca Burch, and Steven Platek, and it examined the relationship between semen exposure through unprotected sex and depression symptoms in sexually active college women. In their research article – Does Semen Have Antidepressant Properties? – they write, “In a sample of sexually active college females, condom use, as an indirect measure of the presence of semen in the reproductive tract, was related to scores on the Beck Depression Inventory. Not only were females who were having sex without condoms less depressed, but depressive symptoms and suicide attempts among females who used condoms were proportional to the consistency of condom use. For females who did not use condoms, depression scores went up as the amount of time since their last sexual encounter increased. These data are consistent with the possibility that semen may antagonize depressive symptoms and evidence which shows that the vagina absorbs a number of components of semen that can be detected in the bloodstream within a few hours of administration.”

The findings of this study gave me a direction for my own research into the high I was experiencing while retaining my seed. I then concluded that these antidepressant properties of semen were responsible for the high I felt. I began examining the substances found in semen to determine which of them could be responsible for this feeling, and I discovered that one of these substances is serotonin.

Serotonin, a chemical found in semen, is defined as a hormone that acts as a natural mood stabilizer that helps you feel calm and happy by easing anxiety and lifting low moods. When you retain semen, serotonin levels increase within the body because serotonin is no longer lost through masturbation and sexual intercourse, resulting in a natural high.

I think the high caused by semen retention is the natural state of man, and many men never experience it because they ejaculate frequently. The widespread use of drugs among men today may indicate that, deep within ourselves, we instinctively know that our natural state is to feel high. When men cannot attain this state naturally, they turn to drugs to recreate the same feeling. However, the high produced by drugs is temporary, forcing many men to use them repeatedly in an attempt to maintain the feeling, resulting in drug addiction.

Men only have to retain semen for 90 days to experience a natural high. While retaining, they must embrace deep breathing exercises and take cold showers to intensify the high.
